Seminars

Pupils from the fifth and sixth forms attend one or two seminars, depending on their branch of study. The seminars deal with projects combining a variety of contents and methods.

In preparation to a smooth switch-over to higher education pupils can become familiar with new teaching methods and therefore learn to study both individually and in a team. In seminars pupils can develop social skills. So the emphasis is on the active participation of all pupils. Such a seminar takes place every two weeks and takes two periods.

There are no exams for seminars; pupils are permanently assessed on the basis of course attitudes and the assimilated learning contents.

All pupils from the 5th and the 6th forms attend one general seminar. The pupils of languages branches of study also choose a language seminar (German or Spanish).
